ΚΥΡΙΑΚΙ | KIRIAKI
Χωριό «κρυµµένο» 32 χλµ. από την Αράχω-
βα σε ένα κατάφυτο τοπίο σε υψόµετρο 720
µ. στις βορειοδυτικές πλαγιές του Ελικώνα.
Σημεία ενδιαφέροντος η κεντρική πλατεία µε
τον ναό του Ιωάννη του Προδρόµου, η πα-
λιά εκκλησία της Παναγίας, η πέτρινη βρύση
και ο λόφος Παλιόκαστρο με πανοραμική
θέα, όπου ήταν χτισµένη η αρχαία πόλη
Φλυγόνιον, ερείπια της οποίας συνυπάρ-
χουν εκεί µε το εξωκλήσι του Αγίου Νεκτα-
ρίου. Tip: Γεµίστε µε θαλασσινή αύρα στους
παραθαλάσσιους οικισµούς Καραχάλιος,
Καριώτης και Ταρσός, στις βόρειες ακτές του
Κορινθιακού!
This village is “hidden” in a leafy landscape
only 32 km away from Arachova at an
altitude of 720m in the northwest of
Elikonas. Points of interest the square with
Ioannis Prodromos church and the old
plane tree, the church of the Holy Mary,
the stone-built water fountain and Pal-
iokastro hill with a panoramic view, where
old town Flygonion used to be (some ruins
still exist there, together with the small
church of Saint Nektarios). Tip: Visit the
coastal settlements of Karachalios, Kariotis
and Tarsos in the north side of the Gulf of
Corinth to catch the sea breeze!
