ANTIPAROS  CHECK IN ΤΗΕ CAVE It is considered as one of the most beautiful and impressive caves in the world. The Cave of Antiparos, the top sight of the island, attracts a significant archaeological interest due to the important findings from the Stone Age that were discovered in its inner part. Also known as “Katafigi” or “Cave of St. John”, it hosts amazing stalactites and sta- lagmites (there you will find the older stalactite in Europe, about 45 million years old!). You also will be impressed by the inscriptions on the walls of the cave, dating from the neolithic area. Among its famous visitors have been Alexander the Great, King Otto, etc. The cave was under reconstruction in 2009, when a stairway of 411 stairs was created.
