Tic Toc effects the world
How TikTok is changing the young.
Being the most downloaded non-gaming app on the Appstore makes for quite the growth. As many know, social apps have a great influence on young people, which can cause some issues with false information and troubling behaviors such as cyberbullying, which is an issue on all social platforms.
The popular app is unique from its fellow social media counterparts. According to The New York Times, TikTok is quite popular because the feed shown is not only coming from the people that are being followed but also by videos the app has suggested for you.
The app has some restrictions in countries such as China, which filter out explicit words and videos. TikTok encourages its users to create new content that follows trends and is enjoyable for many different audiences.
TikTok has a lot of meaningless content, but some of it can actually be semi political and push its users to take up a topic they usually wouldn’t think of.
Many hashtags are created to draw
attention to certain topics. TikTok is influencing the young people of the world to be more creative, which is possibly why its number of users has grown in such a short period of time.
TikToks are also “incredibly addictive” according to The New York Times. According to Influencer MarketingHub, customers have spent about 50 million dollars on purchases that have to do with the app. A monthly estimate made by analyst have come to a conclusion that TikTok makes about 1.4 million dollars a month. 42% of all TikTok revenue comes from the United states alone, making it the most influential country on the app.
