Will you benefit from product
improvements in the future?
A good software supplier will be continually evolving their
software, taking advantage of developing technologies,
and forward-thinking suppliers will be able to give you
an idea of their development roadmap so that yo u are
able to consider future possibilities when making your
decision.
How will improvements to the software be rolled out
to you? Will they happen as part of your contract or
will they involve extra costs? What about additional
functionality? Will you enjoy the functional improvements
of the evolving software without charge? How will you
be notified when upgrades are available?
Will you be able to schedule these to fit with
your own processes or will they happen at an
appointed time?
Ideally, the supplier will be as committed to
providing the best service available to existing
customers as it is to selling it to new ones,
so ask them what the processes for all of the
above scenarios are.
