10. How do you want people to remember you?

I want to be remembered as the woman who positively changed how women view themselves; be that my clients who learn to see how gorgeous they are, or the Makeup Artists I mentor, who learn to believe in themselves and their talents, or the teens who learn to love themselves a little more, accept who they are and grow into a confident, happy and positive woman.

I want people to remember my interesting stories, the things that made the laugh, the things that made them connect with themselves or with others, and to have had a positive experience with me.

And I truly, really want them to remember my makeup brand, Iridis Cosmetics!

11. What are some causes you care about?

Well, with my history of experiencing extreme family violence (so bad we left NSW for Tasmania to get away from it), obviously eradicating violence against women is a massive cause I support.

My mum fought and survived Breast Cancer, and that’s an inspiration behind the work we do with the Western Hospital with their huge fundraiser, Breast West. (Also the women involved are the other inspiration for why we are a part of this cause.) This event is where we glammify women who are breast cancer survivors, and who walk the runway as fashion models with the handsome AFL Western Bulldogs Players on their arms. Its an amazing and emotional night of and I love that we contribute to raising money to support these women It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.

And obviously animal cruelty is a big one for us (being against animal testing in cosmetics is a huge element of our business), and I personally support a number of charities who rescue animals, especially cats, and rehome them. That’s why we have 5 cats – we stayed in touch with the owner of a rescue centre we support and we keep ending up accepting “just one more”!
