Building a “Brand” or a “Movement” on Social Media takes time and strategy. Let’s be real, I know that I am still figuring it out. It was less than three years ago I believed that you had to pay for a hashtag. Yes, I am at the tail end of the baby boomers.

Over the last 48 hours, I have had an education!

In the words of Lao Tzu, he taught, “Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”

What does a sixth century BC Chinese philosopher have to do with our current twenty-first-century internet society? I would like to think, A LOT!

Two days ago, I woke up in the middle of the night to finish up this month’s article for my column with the Global Achievers Magazine. With my eye’s half-awake I sat down at my computer. I checked to make sure my “Buddies” were OK and that is when I saw “it.” I had been notified by one of my dear friends, a leader in our Chemo Buddies for Life Organization, and one of the “Next Impactors,” Brooke Curran, I had been impersonated on Social Media.

What? Are you kidding me? I immediately woke up. It was the middle of the night in Southern California, yet I was feeling like it was midday.

What was I supposed to do? Grateful for all of the work we have been doing within our Chemo Buddies for Life Community with breathing and meditation. I took a few moments to center myself. There was a realization I just be present in this moment.
