"What the hell is life about? Who am I? Why am I doing the things I'm doing?".

My parents were proud, like I was the golden child, right? But inside I wasn't happy. And then about 10 years in, I mean, I was investing in property as well, so I am doing the right thing. Then I started investing in bad property, particularly in mining towns, and the industry collapsed, and I lost a lot of money. I'm talking about over a million dollars, and I almost went bankrupt. In fact, I was seeking insolvency. But at that point I was looking at all my options, losing a lot of money in the property market plus unfilled job plus leading to other people's expectations. I was a pleaser.

That whole catalyst of events forced me to start searching within, like, "What the hell is life about? Who am I? Why am I doing the things I'm doing?"And I started doing personal development. I started reading books on mindset, on psychology, on values, on beliefs. Then I started going to Tony Robbins stuff and I started doing his programs and then I got addicted.
