, I want to become a life coach." She said, "Go for it." She didn't say, "What the hell is life coaching? What do you join a cult going to Tony Robbins events?" She didn't say, "What are we going to do for money? You're leaving optometry?"
She wasn't working. We had a one-year-old and she was pregnant with our second child. You know what she said to me? She said, "I believe in you. I know you can do this." She just backed me every step of the way. And I don't say this lightly. For me, every day I'm thinking, "How the hell did I get so lucky to get someone like that in my life?" And I wouldn't have found out how amazing she was if I didn't go through my own pain and adversity. And if you're going through some pain and adversity right now, and you might be thinking, "I don't know. I lost my job, my hours got cut, my business got shut down." I've got clients that own gyms. I coach clients that own gyms and their business shut down too. Right? Which is not good.
But I do want to say that there's some beauty in this because you're going to find out that the people that really care for you are going to step up and you're going to look back on these moments and say, "You know what? That time, you were there for me. Thank you." And you would never know until you go through your own crisis.
I share that because I want you to know, the reader, the coach, the mentor, the role model, every single person, every one of you, you're in the right place. Whether you're sitting on a fence and you want to go online, whether your business has been face to face and now you have to go online, whether you're already coaching and you just want to take it to the next level, or you've already got some paying clients, but it's inconsistent. Whether you're going through chaos right now, whether you're struggling financially, you're in the right place.
