My lava-lamp is plugged in and heating up. My groovy clothes are clean, invitations are out, and the RSVP’s are coming back; the Tour of Love is nearly ready to go!
The opening act will be an original song written by Julie “Juju” Christopher, Krystylle Richardson, and me. With many of our leaders performing solo parts and featuring MJ’s Raven, the only woman Michael Jackson impersonator, we have 100 voices gathering from all over the world to sing “We Are the Ones.”
We also have two more original songs that have been written for the CB4L.org community and the Tour of Love. “I Can, We Will” written and sung by Skip Thomas as well as “Walk in Love,” co-written by Ray Coates and RaeAnn Gardner and performed by Ray Coates.
So, what is the Tour of Love?
Think of the Jerry Lewis Telethon in the past that would showcase stars from all over the world coming together on Labor Day Weekend to benefit MDA. Can you picture it? If not, look it up on Google. It was a huge deal to many of us.
Who remembers riding your bikes to get your ‘can’ to raise funds for “Jerry’s kids?” I do! I would not stop gathering spare change until my can was ely full.
