the one that will change theirs.” This meme says it well.
Remembering a hero
On Sunday, January 24, 2021, several of Frank’s friends joined me, Skip Thomas, Michelle Mras, and Caroline Brown-Berzins, on a special edition of the “Tour of Love Show.” https://youtu.be/V3oJ_0j4kz8
The Tour of Love Show airs on the e360tv platform at 9:00 am PST. Frank’s Assistant, Stephanie Rathje-Kinney, joined us the full two hours. We were also joined in an open-house matter by Forbes Riley, Season Burch, Richard E. Gordon, and Krystylle Richardson.
We had video clips to share on the show from friends that could not join us live. Andrew Steel, the Australian actor who played Frank in the movie “Wish Man,” shared his tribute and sang an original song he had written just after finding out he had won the leading role. Additional tribute clips came from Allison Larsen, Andrea Adams-Miller, Renee Reisch, Dani Rocco, Teresa Snider, Michele Malo, Brett LaBord, and the CEO of the NGO Whisperer Carolyne A. Opinde.
Krystylle Richardson also shared an original song, “I’m Going To Miss You Hero Tribute to Frank Shankwitz.” https://youtu.be/E5mlKbFT_P4
The Wish Man
If you have not seen the movie “Wish Man” yet, it is currently available to watch on Netflix. I would recommend you watch it. After you do, if you are anything like me, you will want to read the book. The Kindle version is available, and I strongly recommend the book too.
Frank Shankwitz was asked once what he would want to have granted in an onstage interview, and the “Wish Man” book and movie were the answer to his wish. Frank wanted his story told and his legacy to be shared.
I am going to miss you, hero!
Frank Shankwitz, I do miss you and will forever be grateful for you! You will live on in my heart and the hearts of the world as a true hero!
