I began my entrepreneurial journey at the age of thirteen, working at the paddy's market selling paintings. It was then that I earned my first dollar. Being able to support myself without help from my parents gave me great confidence in being independent while trusting my own judgement and decision-making. From that point, my careers have been blessed with well-respected bosses and colleagues along with beautiful opportunities. I even worked overseas in Hong Kong for three years where I was promoted to Supervisor of Marketing at just 21-years-old. When I returned home to Sydney, Australia, at age 25, I had developed enough courage to start my own business. As a
professional make-up artist and hairstylist, I slowly learned to unite artists who shared the same professional ethics. I trained them under my Martha Mok Makeup Academy, and together we have formed D'Makeupstation. We are equipped with over twenty freelance stylists, and we have been in business for over eighteen years.
My passion for making women feel confident and beautiful on their special day has allowed me to expand into multiple wedding-related businesses including wedding planning, wedding décor, and wedding gowns. I became a multi-award-winning international make-up artist and hairstylist through these endeavours.
