SPECTACULAR DINNER AND AUCTION AT BONHAMS FOR MASTERS OF WINE
A benefit dinner and auction to raise money for The Institute
of Masters of Wine’s Endowment Fund will be held at the
international auction house Bonhams, 101 New Bond Street,
on Thursday 16 November 2017.
Thanks to the generosity of the Institute’s Members and
Supporters, bidders will compete for some spectacular Super
Lots including:
• VIP trip to Bollinger to include deluxe travel, luxury
accommodation, dinner at Les Crayeres, Reims. A private
lunch at Madame Bollinger’s House with specially selected
champagnes, private tour of the cellars and vineyards with
Chef de Caves - Gilles Descotes – and an incredible bottle of
1914 Vintage Bollinger.
• An exclusive stay at Le Pin and Cheval Blanc plus visits and
meals at the acknowledged five greats of the Right Bank; Le
Pin, Petrus, Lafleur, Cheval Blanc and Ausone. The visits will
include tastings of unique special bottles and the successful
bidder and guests will also receive a Double Magnum of Le
Pin 2010, a Double Magnum of Château Ausone 2005, two
Magnums of Château Lafleur 2005 and Château Cheval Blanc
2005, and a Magnum of Petrus 2005.
• An all-inclusive fourteen-day tour of New Zealand for two
people, including return Business Premier tickets from Air
New Zealand. Special dinners and lunches with winemakers,
plus free time for the guests to explore the country. The tour
will be hosted by Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers
with special bespoke private tastings with many of NZ’s great
winemakers. The regions visited will be Auckland, Hawkes
Bay, Martinborough, Marlborough, Nelson, Canterbury and
Central Otago. A special wooden case selection of 48 rare
bottles, which have never been collected together before, will
also be shipped to the successful bidder.

A number of “Super Lots” comprising exclusive experiences
from the great wine regions of the World will be sold at the
live auction on the night, with a further 100 Lots offered
online from 1 November 2017. In addition to giving guests
the opportunity to bid for the once-in-a-lifetime Super Lots,
the dinner on the night will showcase rare and exceptional
wines. A limited number of tables are available and demand
is understandably high. Enquiries for tables should be sent to

The Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) was established
in London in 1955 to promote excellence, interaction and
learning across all sectors of the global wine community. There
are currently 355 Masters of Wine in 29 countries and over
340 students on the MW Study Programme from 40 countries.
MWs have proved their understanding of all aspects of wine
by passing the MW Examination, recognised worldwide for its
rigour and high standards.
