RECIPES TO MAKE AT HOME?
Caorunn Gin has released two simple cocktail recipes that
anyone can make at home including 'Sofa Spritz' and 'Honey
I'm Home'.
Sofa Spritz (coul spritz)
Occasion: Sophisticated serve for the gin lovers and more
courageous connoisseurs.
Ingredients:
50ml Caorunn, 50ml Pressed Apple juice, 100ml Soda water,
50ml Sparkling white wine
Garnish: Red apple slices
Glass: Wine
Ice: Cubed
Method: Build all ingredients in a wine glass with cubed ice.
Rational: Explores the flavour of the coul blush apple - sweet
and dry in an approachable spritz style serve that can be made
according to whatever fizz you have at home. Light and floral,
dry vermouth is a natural partner to a London Dry gin, further
complemented with a top of sparkling white wine to bring a
sweet and crisp pop to a simple but delicious drink.
honey i’m home (Twisted BEE’s KNEES)
Occasion: stay at home, curl up on the couch and drink
something delicious.
Ingredients:
50ml Caorunn Raspberry, 25ml lime juice, 1.5 teaspoons honey
Garnish: Lime zest
Glass: Coupette or any cocktail glass
Method: Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and
double strain into a cocktail glass.
Rational: This drink originates from prohibition era only using
ingredients that were available and lends itself well to the home
bartender. Readily available honey and lime combine under
the berry and spice notes from Caorunn Raspberry, giving a
the drink a sweet nectar like mouthfeel.
