Castello di Vicarello to open the 2019 Season
with a Fresh New Look and Unique Offerings
Castello di Vicarello, a luxury castle hotel situated between
Rome and Florence in the untouched Maremma region of
Tuscany’s rolling hills and Tyrrhenian Seaside, opened for the
season on 1 March 2019, with a variety of new offerings and a
fresh look, for its guests. News for the season, includes two new
Suites; a Spa Suite and Tower Suite, a renovated private villa
with its own wine cellar as well as smart technology to enhance
guest experience.
Acquired in the 1970’s by Aurora and Carlo Baccheschi
Berti, the couple and their family have lovingly restored the
characterful building to offer a private Tuscan retreat that
boasts contemporary influences and interiors from the family’s
travels across the globe; with infusions of Middle-Eastern and
Indonesian touches, accompanying the quintessentially Tuscan
architecture and aesthetic, with unique pieces of art adorning
the walls of the corridors and rooms. Now in the very capable
hands of Aurora and Carlo’s son, Neri, careful consideration
for the local surroundings and the comfort of guests, has
culminated in a unique and modern design-led style and sense
of relaxed elegance throughout the Castello.

At Castello di Vicarello, days are spent wondering the estate’s
40 hectares, which have been organic farmland for 25 years,
producing wine, with Carlo Baccheschi Berti and his eldest
son Brando establishing a highly successful award-winning
vineyard with wine tastings as well as produce that supplies the
hotel’s kitchen, including olive oil and vegetables.
