installation of its kind in Europe,
and it will be created by Jason

n Jason Taylor´s studio overlooking the sea wall at Marina Rubicón, dozens of
figures wait patiently, some of them seemingly gazing out of the window at their
final destination under the waves. Each of these figures has been cast from life I actually recognize one of the figures - and will eventually be moulded in a noncontaminating, pH neutral concrete, before they are taken out to an area around
200 metres from shore and sunk 12 metres beneath the surface of the sea, where
they will be arranged by Jason Taylor and his team.
The underwater museum will then be accessible to scuba divers, who will be able to
fin through a “gate to the Atlantic” and swim among clusters of figures and underwater
gardens. Given the clearness of the water, the museum will also be clearly visible from
glass-bottomed boats, and snorkellers will also be able to enjoy a “bird´s eye” view of
the museum.
