THE POWWOW This month we asked - ‘What do you think causes Homophobia?’ Reiss Lack of understanding, Lack of knowledge, Lack of compassion, Lack of tolerance of differences in society, Fear of misguided teaching. That we’ll steal your soft furnishings and re-upholster them. Leave a trail of glitter as we walk through your house. Afraid that you’ll kiss a boy and like it. David Wow, that’s a question you need a trilogy of novels to answer. There’s fear, religion, lack of understanding, closetness, bad parenting, just to list a few. Internalised homophobia from being closeted. The 'make them look worse to make myself look better' tactic. Brian When people have a one track mind and think of sex over a legitimate relationship and also the mind set that religion runs our lives...
