ALUMNI LINKS SIYAN CHEN WINS GOLD AT THE 16 TH GAMES OF ZHEJIANG PROVINCE BGGA student-athlete Siyan Chen won the Gold Medal at The 16th Games of Zhejiang Province. The Zhejiang Games were held at the Huzhou Olympic Sports Center. BGGA’s Female Player of the Year in 2018 Siyan Chen, won five previous times this year, had eight top 3 and nine top 10 finishes. Chen also verbally committed to the University of Illinois and will sign her national letter of intent with the school in November. JULIAN PERICO HAS RECORD-SETTING WIN Bishops Gate Golf Academy (BGGA) alumnus and University of Arkansas freshman Julian Perico fired a final-round 68 and finished with a three-round total of 197, breaking the school’s 54-hole scoring record and winning by four strokes, at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, played at the par-70, 7,204-yard Old Overton Country Club. let up Tuesday, which proved key, as he would win by that same four-shot margin, shooting his final-round, 2-under-par 68. Two holes later, he birdied the par-4, 15th for the first time to finish with his 68. “Julian played the greatest tournament in Arkansas history and did so as a freshman. It was very special to watch. I could not be happier with our play this week,” said head coach Brad McMakin.
