Standing alone after two- tough rounds of play was BGGA’s Manhua Chen (Guangdong, China). Chen, a senior at Bishops Gate Golf Academy, played solid all weekend finishing with rounds of 72 and 74, a total score of 146. BGGA’s Sarah Muller (Czech Republic) came in 4th. In a two-way tie for second place in the Boys 16U Division, was BGGA’s Eduardo Garcia. Garcia rounded out the weekend after scores of 74 and 76. BGGA’s Zoravar Singh Star (India) came in 7th and David Xu (China) 10th. Trailing but only one stroke in the Girls 16U, but walking away in second- place was BGGA’s Maria Fedorowycz (Kyiv, Ukraine). Fedorowycz ended her weekend after rounds of 81 and 76 for a 157 total score. Top-10 finishes by BGGA student- athletes at the MetroWest Classic at MetroWest Golf Club include: 10 THE GATE | MARCH 2019 Tyden Wilson Signs with Queens Charlotte Bishops Gate Golf Academy (BGGA) student-athlete Tyden Wilson signed with the Queens University of Charlotte men’s golf team. “We are really excited to have Tyden join our program,” said Head Men’s Golf Coach Andrew Serketich. “He is a great addition to an important recruiting class for us. He will fit in great with our guys and his dedication and work ethic will be contagious. We look forward to working with him and watching his development on and off the golf course.”
