Describe your role at BGGA?
I help the students develop resilience and
accelerate their skill development.
What’s your favorite part about your job?
Working as a part of the team with the other
coaches and staff, and seeing the kids grow as
people and improve their golf skills.
How did you get started in golf?
My Dad took me to the range with him when
I was really young, probably five or so. The
range had a miniature golf course, so I started
there and graduated to hitting balls. Once I
could keep it on the planet, he took me to the
golf course.
Why do you love the game of golf?
Golf reveals everything you need to know
about yourself and your game.
What’s the best piece of advice you have
ever received?
I asked a PGA Tour player the same question,
and I loved his answer: Play within yourself.
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
Hmm, probably prime rib.
What is always stocked in your refrigerator?
Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
If you could live anywhere in the world,
where would it be and why?
Toronto will always be home. It’s an amazing
city and summers are beautiful there. But we
also really enjoy Orlando’s weather and all of
the things we can do here.
Is there anything you are addicted to? Or
can’t live without?
My Macbook
What movie do you watch again and again?
Saving Private Ryan
Where is your favorite place to travel and
why?
Europe. The history, food and diverse cultures
are amazing there.
What’s one thing we don’t know about you?
I play guitar. I’m a total hack, but I love the
sounds it makes and the challenge of learning
how to play it.
Favorite quote?
Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting
for the other person to die.
Favorite sport besides golf?
Hockey. Go Leafs Go.
