Staff Spotlight: Nick Duffy Position Senior Coach Describe your role at BGGA? In the mornings, I’m the tournament organizer. In the afternoon, I’m a coach, an instructor and a manager for my POD. What’s your favorite part about your job? Watching students grow and develop into better golfers and people. How did you get started in golf? Summer camp at grand cypress, I chipped in three times during our training and was hooked. Why do you love the game of golf? Competition with your fellow competitors and the golf course. I grew up playing with a group of friends who wanted to beat each other every day. It was so much fun. What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received? Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. What is your favorite home-cooked meal? My wife’s pulled chicken or my burgers on the grill. What is always stocked in your refrigerator? Carolina BBQ Sauce If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Jupiter, Fla. in the winter and Rhode Island in the summer. It’s the best of both worlds when it comes to food, golf and beach life. Is there anything you are addicted to? Or can’t live without? Sadly, it’s my phone, I’m an addict. I’m always watching swings, reading articles or listening to podcasts. What movie do you watch again and again? Anchorman Where is your favorite place to travel and why? Rhode Island. It’s a family trip every year because of the food, the history and the sightseeing. What’s one thing we don’t know about you? I love old school rap and trivia.
