From: China Grade: 11th Started at BGGA: In third year Why did you choose BGGA: It has the best facilities and I really liked the coach here. I visited in the winter before starting here and I really liked the environment. Best part of your game: Long game Why do you play golf: It’s very challenging. You have so much fun when you’re competing on the golf course. You never know what’s coming. Goals for the future: I want to play college golf. Win one tournament: The Masters Favorite Golfer: Dustin Johnson Aryamon Mohan Aryamon defines excellence because he’s a very coachable student that listens and grew a lot over the semester by experiencing our full-time program. He started in our summer camp and he couldn’t break 80. His scoring average this semester is 76. From: Zambia Grade: 10th Started at BGGA: In August after a few weeks of summer camp. Why did you choose BGGA: I came here for summer camp and I wanted to get a feel for how to improve my game. I come from Zambia and golf isn’t very good there. I wanted to come somewhere to learn golf, improve my golf and hopefully make a career out of it. When I came here in the summer I really enjoyed it, so I thought why not come back. Best part of your game: Mental Game. It’s improved a lot since I’ve been here. When I came here I had a weak mental game. I wasn’t able to recover from a bad shot during a round. Now after working with Paul my mental game is the strongest part of my game. Why do you play golf: I love meeting new people and playing with new friends. I love that it has brought me to my dream country. Goals for the future: I’d like to play college golf and maybe turn professional golf. If that doesn’t work I’ll probably be a lawyer. Win one tournament: The Masters Favorite Golfer: Rickie Fowler Niels Schmidlin Niels this semester has had two opportunities where he’s had a chance to win tournaments but he failed to do so. He’s learning from it and the next time he gets in that situation he has that memory and experience to recall from and he can get over the line next time. He’s been knocking on the door all semester in tournaments and getting himself in position where he’s in the lead. He’s doing better at implementing strategies in training. From: Switzerland Grade: 10th Started at BGGA: In second year Why did you choose BGGA: In Switzerland you can’t play golf all the time. It’s only about six months a year and Florida is perfect. Best part of your game: Driving Why do you play golf: It’s the best sport. You get to travel, play different courses, you don’t get hurt and it’s sunny all the time. Goals for the future: I want to play on the European Tour and then the PGA Tour. Win one tournament: The Masters Favorite Golfer: Peter Hanson
