Ending the weekend tied for 18th place, Mathias Andersen shot a second-round 71, his lowest tournament round to date, to stay in the top-20. Two weeks later, the heavy rain at the AJGA Wells Fargo Junior Classic presented by Mizuno caused the tournament to be cut down to a one-day, 18-hole event. BGGA Sophomore and University of Florida verbal commit Maria Hoyos fired a 1-under-par back nine to position herself in a tie for first place. In the Boys Division, Marcos Montenegro shot a 2-under-par 70 to claim a solo sixth place finish. The AJGA hosted the GGGA Junior Open at The Seagate presented by Sportlink at the Seagate Country Club in Delray Beach, Florida. Coming off of her win at the AJGA Wells Fargo Junior Classic last week, Maria Hoyos fired a 2-under-par 70 to claim the lead after the first round of play. Even though she struggled in the second round, Maria fought her way around the course and closed the weekend with a solo second-place finish.
