I

’ve always wanted to get into the strategy game
genre, but for some reason I’ve never been able
to. Having heard the hype for XCOM: Enemy
Unknown from the internet and friends alike, I
decided to check out the first hour and keep a log
of my experience.
2100 - Following an awesome Arthur C. Clarke
quote, I’m greeted by a cutscene of an alien pod
impacting Earth. People approach it, to their
demise.
2101 - So I guess I’m an all-important commander
in charge of the XCOM Project and tasked with
saving humanity from the alien threat. No biggie.
