errari head into the 2014 Formula One season determined more than ever to get back to
the summit.
And with the superstar tandem of former
World champions Fernando Alonso and Kimi
Raikkonen, they have put themselves in no better
position to achieve just that.
Alonso is back for another run at a maiden title
with Ferrari and another shot at ending the dominance of Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing.
The feisty Spaniard is now joined by enigmatic
Finn Raikkonen, who himself is hungry for success as he makes a return to the team he won his
only World title with in 2007.
It will be intriguing to see how Raikkonen’s
arrival will affect the Scuderia, especially with
Alonso being their undisputed number one the
past few years.
The outcome can be positive if Alonso and
Raikkonen can push each other to constantly
strive to be better, with neither happy to settle into
the role of number two on the team.
At the same time, the partnership can prove
destructive if the relationship between the two
alpha dogs goes sour, much like in 2007 when
Alonso was overshadowed by then-rookie teammate Lewis Hamilton at McLaren – the same year
