December 2013 saw Linlithgow Rose make history in the Scottish game as we became the first Junior club to secure
the SFA Entry Level Licence. Some folk might think that gaining an “entry level” licence is no big deal but they’d
be wrong – it’s a huge achievement and is the culmination of countless hours of hard work. Were it a simple process
lots of clubs would be licensed at this level of the game.
The Rose committee pencilled in 13 January to meet with members and this is likely to be followed with a further
meeting with supporters who are not club members. These meetings will help to clarify what the award means for
the Rose and will allow members to ask questions and find out more. But we asked club president Les Donaldson
to tell us a little about the work that has gone into meeting the standards set by the SFA. Here’s what he had to
