about. A moment later, Mum walked in and said, “Oh my goodness! What’s happened to this place?”

“I don’t know,” I replied.

“This getting ridiculous.” She grumbled, and then she started sweeping up the glass. I helped Mum clean up, and when the others came downstairs, they helped also. After that incident, the rest of our day was the same weekend routine; everyone relaxed.

That night there was another storm. It was late by the time I finished getting ready for bed. When I walked into my room, a little girl with blonde curls and blue eyes wearing a red night gown was standing near the door, holding a teddy bear. I walked up to her, put my hand on her shoulder and asked, “Who are you? Where did you come from?”

The little girl’s eyes turned red as I let go of her, and she sang, “You’ve just seen me, you’ve just touched me, now it’s too late…”

The next thing I know, everything went black. A while later, my eyes flew open. I sat up in bed, and then I saw fire spread across my room and sear my mirror. I started to choke from the smoke, and I remember hearing deranged laughing again. Once again, I blacked out.

When I woke up again, things seemed too quiet. I looked around to see that my room was no longer on fire, and I told myself that it was just a dream. I kept telling myself that as I walked down the stairs, and I accidently said it out loud. When I looked up, I saw Claire looking at me suspiciously.

“What was that you were saying?” she asked.

“Well, I had a strange dream last night about this demented little girl, and a fire broke out, and I was just telling myself that it was just a dream.” I paused then continued. “It must’ve been a dream, right? I wouldn’t be standing here if I was dead, because that would be ridiculous…”

“Oh, well I suppose you’re right… Speaking of-“ she said.

She was interrupted when Andrew came

down the stairs and said, “Hey, you guys won’t believe this. I had a dream where there was this creepy little girl, and I think she set my room on fire. Weird stuff, huh?”

“Yeah, that is weird. Anyway, I was about to say that I too had a dream with a little girl, and the house burned down. And now that both of you said that you had the same dream! I’m not sure if it was really a dream,” Claire said.

As Mum and Dad walked down the stairs, I realized that we had actually died in a fire, and we were now just spirits.

“Come, it’s time for us to leave,” Dad said as he took Mum’s hand. They walked out of the house and we followed. We started to float upward, all the way to the gates of Heaven. When we entered, we saw many other people either floating or sitting on a cloud, with white wings on their backs. I looked over my shoulder to see that I too, had wings. I glided over to a cloud, pulled out a small notebook from my pocket along with a pen, and I began to write. I wrote about my story, which you have just read. Oh, one last thing. In my time in Heaven, I realized something about the little girl that was in my dream and in my room. She is a death omen, on Earth to collect her victims.
