Wayne: Hey Jra, first off I’d like to apologize about the severe delay on these questions. Secondly, can your give our readers a brief introduction of yourself and your band? H: I’m a member of Hordes. I do vocals for Hordes. Hordes is from San Bernardino. W: When were you introduced to Hardcore/Punk music and do you feel being introduced to these styles of music have changed your life for the better? H: I was first introduced to the Misfits in the 5th grade. I fucked with surface punk bands for most of middle school. Lots of Ramones, Dead Kennedy’s, Germs, & Black Flag. From there on I got into other bands & music expanding my listening pallet. I can’t say whether punk has had a positive or negative effect, but I wouldn’t have friends without it. W: As a listener, what aspects of Hardcore/Punk keep you coming back? H: It’s primitive. Like fucking & fighting. It’s real & authentic for the most part. It’s not art or music. It’s just anger & aggression as a wall of noise. W: Now onto Hordes, when did this project start and what were your main influences sound wise? H: hordes was an entity a long time before I was around. I joined in 2010 & the band started becoming more active. No influences sound wise. We just want to make noise that makes people want to hurt each other. W: You guys released your debut EP “Abarognosis” in late 2011, how do you feel about that EP and how do you feel that stacks up compared to your demo material? H: It’s better than the demo, but hardly good. Honestly, I don’t find myself liking it too much anymore. W: How would you describe your band to someone who has never been exposed to the Hardcore/Punk sound? H: Ugly. W: Last time I spoke with you I was told you guys are working on new material, how do you feel about the new material you guys have written and what are the plans for said tracks? H: The new material is a lot closer to where we want to be as a band. No plans for the tracks right now.
