The Foundation has six focus areas: community development; education; health and human services; arts and culture; environment and natural resources; and diversity and inclusion.
Green Thumb Challenge Grant, Award is $250. Deadline is September 30. Supports schools and youth groups to submit chronicles of their garden projects in a race to win a cash prize.
Project Learning Tree - Greenworks, Award is $1,000. Deadline is September 30. Provides funding to schools for environment service-learning projects that link classroom learning to the real world.
Tina B. Carver Fund, Award is $400. Deadline is September 30. Supports the purchase of student classroom learning materials and/or teacher-related materials to support adult ESL education programs.
Grammy Museum Grant, Awards up to $20,000. Deadline for Letter of Inquiry is October 1. Supports efforts that advance the archiving and preservation of the music and recorded sound heritage of North America.
Target Field Trip Grant, Award is $700. Deadline is October 1. Supports schools by providing transportation for field trips.
Rosenburg Fund for Children, Awards vary. Deadline is October 13. Provides support for the educational and emotional needs of children whose parents are activists, and for youth who are activists themselves.
California State Parent Teacher Association, Awards from $500 to $2,000. Deadline is October 15. Awards Outreach Translation Grants for translation equipment or interpretation services to support non-English speaking parents.
Healthy Lifestyle Grant, Awards from $500 to $2,000. Deadline is October 15. Supports projects such as: health and fitness awareness activities; dance/exercise classes; health fairs; getting smart about media/health; aerobic activities; and teen depression awareness.
Lorrie Otto Seeds for Education Fund, Award is $500. Deadline is October 15. Emphasizes the involvement of students and volunteers in all phases of development. Examples include the establishment of a native plant community, developing and maintaining a landscaped trail, or developing a wetland area.
The National Association for Amateur Radio, Award is $1,500. Deadline is November 1. School Station Grants are awarded for the purpose of purchasing
equipment to set up a school amateur radio station.
Project School Emergency Response to Violence (SERV), Awards up to $50,000. Rolling Deadline. Supports programs for short-term and long-term education-related services for educational institutes that have experienced a violent or traumatic event.
