Her capacity to understand her couples’ style and wishes, combined with her ability to create bespoke arrangements that are always beautiful and elegant, make her a partner of choice for a wedding ! We have asked Jenny to tells us more about how she works and how she creates beautiful, bespoke arrangements for her couples. « To create a bespoke, tailored look for a special day I would have an initial chat with the bride about the style of her bridal gown, the colour scheme the couple has chosen for the wedding and the wedding theme if any. I then ask the couple to provide me with a mood board of their wedding. Pinterest is a wonderful tool, where pictures of anything you like can be added. Not just flowers, anything at all, which can then give me a great insight into the couple’s tastes and the look the fiancés would like to create. Any image that you like for a specific reason works, we can take a piece of this and a piece of that to create an original look. All of this can be done via email, and if the schedule allows, face to face meetings too. From this stage, I can make suggestions and start sending pictures of my interpretation of the couple’s ideas. This part of the process can be lengthy, with ideas flying back and forth, until...et voila! We have it! Budget wise, sometimes money is no object and someone will want what they want, regardless of the price. In other cases the budget is important and then we can suggest more budget conscious flowers, different containers or a twist on a particular design to achieve a suitable costing. We can also have a few big blowsy designs rather than lots of little pieces, anything is possible. About a week before the big day, the couple and I would have a meeting, whether by email, phone or in person, to make a final check of the requirements, confirm table numbers, buttonholes and corsages numbers and any final alterations. I then order the flowers from the wholesalers, and collect them a couple of days before the wedding day. I condition them, cutting the stems and giving them water and flower food, to get them to the optimum stage for the big day.
