SPRING IS FOR BIKING
Around Frederick
BY KENDALL K TIFFANY, TRANSIT COMMUNITY RELATIONS MANAGER
As the weather begins to get warmer,
it’s a great time to explore Frederick from
a different perspective: by bicycle.
During the last few years, Frederick has been actively improving
bicycle infrastructure around the county. The most recently completed
project is a shared-use path under U.S. Route 15 along Rosemont
Avenue in Frederick. The newly constructed underpass path
connects the east and west sides of Frederick, allowing bicyclists
and pedestrians to safely travel to and from the Golden Mile, the
Rock Creek Trail, Waterford Park, Baker Park, Carroll Creek and
Downtown Frederick. To get out and explore Frederick by bike,
learn more about bicycle loops and upcoming events below.
