Refreshed Fox Trial Finder Makes Participation Easier than Ever
Too many clinical trials are delayed by slow recruitment or failure to retain enough participants. Fox Trial Finder helps more trials succeed. Since 2020, it has facilitated more than 10,000 referrals to research studies.
A newly refreshed interface has improved navigation: Users can search in their preferred language and can easily share studies with loved ones. The results page lets users see which studies they are eligible for and filter by criteria such as online versus in-person studies. AIgenerated summaries with lay-friendly study descriptions and eligibility criteria are forthcoming.
Grants Fund Research to Improve Walking, Balance
MJFF awarded more than $ 9 million in late 2025 to eight grants investigating personalized approaches to better understand, assess and improve walking and balance, and to reduce the risk of falls in PD. Projects include novel uses for deep brain stimulation to address gait challenges and a study evaluating which patients are most likely to benefit from digital music-based cueing interventions.
These projects join a growing portfolio of MJFF-funded research aimed at providing better solutions for the walking, balance and mobility challenges that reduce independence and disrupt everyday life for many with PD.
