continue to ensure that VIS manages this pandemic well. At the same time, we will begin work on the new five-year strategic plan (2022-onwards) for the school.

We are mindful, though, that this pandemic is not yet over. It may indeed worsen again. There is absolutely no room for complacency when it comes to the health and safety of our students and staff. So let's keep following government and school guidance on COVID in the weeks and months ahead.

The effort (so far) has paid off. The school stayed open during the second wave and ran distance learning for students who required it. At the same time, the financial stability of the school was maintained. And beyond financial stability, the Board has progressed on VIS facilities development.

Critically, the Board has been mindful of the pressure on school staff during this period. It worked with the Leadership Team to uphold staff morale, and staff wellbeing, as well as attention to students and parents is regularly discussed at Board meetings.
