ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Message
In a previous article in The Fort, I highlighted how the Elementary School created Friday Focus time this year. This was to allow the students to mix within their grade levels and spend time on different special topics each week. In May, we expanded the idea of concentrating on one theme to have a full week where the teachers and students talked about Heroes, both in real-life and in fiction. In class, the children brainstormed what makes a hero, as well as read and wrote stories on the topic.
