Across Middle school we are excited about reading and would love to see our students reading more! This month we introduced our students to a reading competition aimed at encouraging students to broaden their reading experiences: Reading Rocks!

As an English Dept, we are encouraging our students to read a variety of books, complete with challenges along the way. Each book read, each challenge completed, will gain points for their Verdala House (Fire, Earth, Water and Wind).

From IMYC highlights, to scientists at work, to a Valentine's booth these are the highlights in Middle School.

The MS Eco committee planned activities for each Homeroom, culminating in each class creating an eco board focusing on an environmental issue. 8I focused on the plastic pollution in our oceans, 7S chose fast fashion and its contribution to landfill, 7V's board displayed information about the ways in which humans are contributing to land, water and air pollution. All the materials used for the boards were recycled, but even though May has passed... EVERY DAY IS EARTH DAY!
