supply of high quality mattresses, doonas and pillows, which was complimented by the donation of a large quantity of sheets and pillow cases from families across the community.

3. FOODBANK MALTA

Recently, the school community further supported the work of Foodbank Malta with the collection and donation of almost 600 “bags for life” shopping bags to aid in the delivery of food items to families in need across Malta.

4.BYE-BYE PLASTIC

Bye-Bye Plastic Bags organise regular clean-up walks to raise community awareness, with members of the group also supporting the Verdala Eco-School Green Flag campaign. In May, Bye Bye Plastic Bags Malta once again cleaned up around the Pembroke/Swieqi area as part of World Cleanup Day.

5. 15-DAY TRASH CHALLENGE CAMPAIGN

This is a 15-day trash challenge, the goal is to get people to pick up one piece of trash every day for 15 days. We then want people to send us photos of them picking up and recycling the trash. Those photos are then uploaded onto the Instagram of BBPB Malta. The goal is to clean up the environment and get people of the community involved.

6. OTHER ACTIVITIES

Students in Grades 11 and 12 are also involved in many programs developing creativity and healthy activity; learning musical instruments, public performances, trying new sports, skating, long-boarding, yoga, MUN, and advocacy online for various organisations, just to mention a few.
