about a sense of relief and pride. Our High School learners adapted to the many changes placed before them. Teachers stepped outside their comfort zones inside the classroom in order to engage students either in-person or at home.

I want to congratulate the now graduated Class of 2021 for their hard work and achievements this year. Your teachers and I wish you the best of luck in your next adventure. It has been an honour to see you mature and develop throughout your years in High School at Verdala, but even more so to see you gracefully make your way to the graduation stage in the mist of this historic pandemic. Your resilience is admirable. As for our Grade 11, Grade 10, and Grade 9 learners; we look forward to seeing you back on campus next academic year. Another year of hard work, dedication, engagement, and new memories.

And now we all eagerly await our much needed school holiday; an opportunity to rejuvenate ourselves mentally and physically before heading into the next academic year.

Have a safe and adventurous Summer.

I am now in a state of reflecting back on this unique and special school year. Many of us in education entered the 2020/2021 academic year with uncertainty and trepidation. To see this year come to a close with so many student and teacher successes brings about a sense of relief and pride. Our High School learners adapted to the many changes placed before them. Teachers stepped outside their comfort zones inside the classroom in order to engage students either in-person or at home.
