Kindergarten students were using their observation skills and knowledge of patterns in fun activities.

In the IPC Unit, ‘Full Power’, the Grade 4s were studying Electricity, Conservation, Sustainability, Climate Change and thinking about the relationship and impact of human activities on the environment.

Practicing asking questions, taking turns and using describing words were all part of this Grade 1 Language Activity “Heads Up”.

Each Friday, we join the 2 classes in one grade together to focus on a theme. Grade 3 students were problem solving by designing their own game, creating the rules and then testing their games.

As an Introduction to their IPC Unit ‘Space Explorers’, the Grade 5 students were given a set of resources which they used for the challenge of building a rocket that could deliver supplies from Earth to a Space Station.

This learning task was based on the interest that the Grade 3 students had in building paper airplanes. They had to make predictions on which ones would fly farther (the smaller or larger planes), how far they would fly and then use their measuring skills to see how accurate their predictions were.
