IPC Unit - ‘Healthy Brain, Healthy Body’ - In this unit, the teachers were helping the children understand the words Knowledge, Skills and Understanding. Grade 2 students are teaching their learning partners either a skill or facts they wanted to share.

IPC Unit - ‘Active Planet’ - The Grade 3 students thoroughly enjoyed making their own volcanoes, and then mixing together the ingredients needed to create an eruption.

Math - Students in Grade 4 create different shapes and patterns using Tangrams. There are many benefits to playing with Tangrams which include developing problem-solving and logical thinking skills, and the shapes created can be used to teach topics such as symmetry, and geometry.

The Grade 1 students have the great IPC topic ‘Toys’. Part of this unit involves looking at different materials. Students sorted materials into categories based on what they are made from, then predicted if items would float or sink before carrying out their experiments.

A challenge the Grade 3 students had was to make a tower that could stand on its own and then they had to measure it to see who could make the tallest one. Problem solving and measuring were just 2 of the skills applied.
