From the 30th July to the 1st August 2020, I represented Team Malta in the European Team Shield Golf Championship (ETSC). Myself and three other members of the Senior National Team traveled to Pravets, Bulgaria on the 27th July with the intent of playing our best and having a title chance. Although we faced very high quality opponents, with teams from large nations such as Poland and Ukraine and with players that were among the top 100 in the World Ranking list, we firmly believed that we could achieve a podium finish if we played our best golf for the four days that lay ahead.
To start the tournament we performed very well in the qualifying session in which we finished 1st, ahead of Poland and the Bulgarian locals. Although I had shot the tied best score of the day I still had some aspects of my game to improve on going into the 3 days of head to head matches.
