JAYE Company: Unistory
JAYE was a once in a lifetime experience. During the start of school we were asked to sign up to a company program where we would be guided to set up our own business. First there was the issue of ‘who will sign up?’ However I quickly learned that my group would be made up of six other students from verdala and I. My group is made up of:
My main role is to be in charge with the product development and to ensure that our product is being sold at a sufficient price to make a profit (along with the finance manager). I am the person who will purchase any necessary raw materials for the product and I also must store everything I buy for our business.
My main role is to keep track of everyone’s overall performance and to engage them in the company. I need to motivate them to make sure that the company is reaching its fullest potential in terms of work ethic. I’ll make sure that the team is comfortable with each other and that they can all function well together.
My main role is to work alongside the marketing director to strategize the sales of the company. This is done by effective planning, setting sales goals, projecting future performance while at the same time making sure these goals are met.
My main role is to record and document all information discussed during meetings as well as manage the completion of paperwork. I am the person which keeps track of all actions made by the company. The shareholder book is in my name meaning I am also in charge of who owns which share. As secretary, I have the responsibility of keeping a record of things that take place in the journey of the company.
My role in this company is to strategize and implement our marketing campaigns. I would also be figuring out who our audience is as that is an important factor for selling our product.
