I am originally from the UK and for many years I have been fortunate enough to travel and teach internationally. My partner, Daniel Shrewsbury and I worked at the British International School of Shanghai and we are currently teaching in Panama City, Panama. Verdala, where I will be an Elementary EAL Teacher, will be our third international experience. I enjoy a wide range of physical activities including biking, hiking with our dogs, yoga, skiing and dance. I was lucky enough to live in a monastery in Bangalore, India - to learn and teach dance. It's amazing to discover where teaching can take you! I am really looking forward to joining the Verdala community and discovering the delights of the Mediterranean.

I am 40 years old and originally from Nottingham, England. I am moving to Malta with my partner Laura Byfield and I will be an Elementary Teacher at VIS. For the past 3 years we have been living and working in Panama and enjoying everything the country has to offer. We love the sea and spend a lot of time outdoors with our two dogs, Momiji and Hector. I love to cook and bake, hike, throw Aerobie, cycle and play golf. I consider myself to be very funny and laugh frequently. Greetings! My name is Tyler Shepard and I am so looking forward to contributing to the teamwork, positivity, and humor of the Verdala community next school year as an Elementary Teacher. I am originally from Missouri, USA, but have taught in Taiwan and, most recently, third grade in the Dominican Republic. I crave movement (such as running, hiking, or dancing), but also make time to consume the latest news about politics, celebrities, and technology. Learning is a passion of mine, and I know I do it best when I make connections with the people around me. I can’t wait to meet you in person!

Hello, my name is Jennifer Marsh and I am from the UK. I will be the High School Visual Arts Teacher at VIS. I am currently teaching in Shanghai. I am super excited to be joining Verdala school with my 13-year-old daughter Amira, two well-travelled cats and my Chinese street dog Teddy. I look forward to working in Malta as it will enable me to enjoy the outdoor life and history of this fascinating island. In my free time I enjoy reading, visiting art galleries and travelling.
