Interschools Basketball
In March, our School took part in the U-13 Interschools’ Basketball Tournaments for both boys and girls. Boys’ team was made up of G8: Nico, G7: Oliver, Ben, Adam, Maxi and Thomas and G6: Mac, while the Girls’, G7: Valentine, Rosie, Jumana, G6: Yihan, Vicky, Doga and Selvaggia.
The boys’ tournament was a very popular one with 14 schools turning up on the day. Our team started off with a very good win and kept their spirits high throughout the whole tournament. Some of the games were very challenging but the boys gave their best and did very well in all of them. Our team came 5th overall which is a very good result.
The girls’ tournament turned out to be a bit smaller but still a challenging day. With only 5 teams taking part, the girls had a very tough job with only a few games to play and unfortunately didn’t qualify. They all worked really hard and missed a few shots but didn’t give up at all. This girls’ team is very new, and even though they maybe haven’t had enough experience playing together, they all did their best and kept motivating each other through the last game.
A big well done to all the boys and girls for their great teamwork and effort in sports. Keep it up!
