In the past few years, VIS has sought to streamline and add depth to our service-learning programme. We, like the Gen Z students we work with, are working towards the development of authentic experiences that engage with the real needs in our
community. Authenticity and age-appropriate hands-on projects for our students are key
features that we keep in mind as we build our programme. As such, acting locally while thinking globally.
A robust service-learning programme will ensure that our students have the opportunity to engage with the local community- on campus, with parents, teachers and other stakeholders here in Malta. VISserves students will tell you how important collaboration is when working towards a common aim- whether that is growing or vegetables together or working towards a community of knowledgeable, inquisitive and ethical contributors to our world.
