In the summer of August of 2013 a big flood happened again in India, people called it the Himalayan tsunami. The people first thought that a glacial lake outburst flood caused it but then they discovered that the huge amount of water that surged downstream was caused by the boundary of small lake breakers due to a huge landslide and heavy rainfall upstream.

It flooded in one part in UttarakhandIndia, which is in the north of the country.

The flooding in India destroyed a lot of buildings, house, etc. More than 100 people death and 62.000 people leave the city.

Many people were without food, and the government sent the police, 10.000 personnel of the armed forces, 18 helicopters to rescue people who need help.

2 groups help them to build again their houses the 2 groups who help them were owner driven reconstruction collaborative and the government of bihar and one more that is the united nation development.
