The next rule of thumb is simple this cold water will deflate you tube and hot warm water will increase the pressure in your float tube. I have gone out on cold morning, with a very full tube and within minutes I felt as if I was losing air pressure. On the other hand I have started days out in the hot weather and quickly had to make sure I was letting air out of my tube as it was filling fast and this could lead to a catastrophic incident that no one wants to be in. So be mindful of the weather and temperature as this will change you pressures and sometime very quickly.
Finally how do we test the pressure, 3 things, PSI Gauge, squeeze test, check your seems.
So the pressure gauge is simple it shows you how much pressure you have. It is said that the float tube PSI should not exceed 2 to 3 PSI. I will be honest I have never used this and I really don’t know many people that do use a gauge to measure their PSI. The method I use and have always used in
