Under Pressure
One of the most common questions ask when we are out float tube fishing by new tubers is how full should I inflate my float tube. There are many ideas out there and some things that will help you understand how your tube will reach when you are out for extended time on the water.

The first rule to understand, altitude matters, we all learned this at some point in our life. I always have my tube partially inflated when I am heading out to fish. Of course I am not going up in altitude in fact I am in most cases going down in altitude as I head to the saltwater. Because of this I don’t worry too much about my float tube over inflating as I am headed in the morning to the water. Of course remember if you are going up in altitude be sure to leave your tube completely deflated as the pressure will rise and you might not have a working tube when you finally get to the water’s edge. It is important that you pay attention to altitude as it will change the pressure in you float tube bladders in conjunction with changes in altitude.
