The Float Tube Fishing Forum Volume: 4 Issue: 3 | Page 26

For most of us these are just facts and maybe we feel, not my problem, but I would like to challenge everyone. The last time you went fishing did you pick up any trash before you left. As you were float tube fishing did one of those plastic bags float by and you simple avoided it. I will be honest I have been like this for sometime, hey I am out to fish and enjoy myself right. Of course I need to remember that the enjoyment that I am having is because we have the outdoors to enjoy. Those facts listed show us that our favorite outdoor spots will not be open to use in the future.

I know most of what we see is not our fault but there is something we can do about it. Simply take the time to pick it up, remove it from the environment it’s in and make sure it gets to where it belongs. This is not hard especially since we are floating on the water where these items can be found. I know an FTFF member that takes the time to pick up trash each and every time out we should all strive to be like this. I recently have started to pick up some of the trash that floats past me and put it into the back of my float tube until I can get it to the trash. I know that it is small but it is important and if we all took the time to remove what we could each time we are out on the water fishing we could make a pretty big difference.
