Let’s get our Bearings … St. Francis Our first stop located south of Humansdorp, heading to the coast is St. Francis. St. Francis has the Canal System’s which offers visitors a unique and quaint village lifestyle. You will find Quaysyde restaurant, Raggies Backpacker’s and the St. Francis Links Estate, which are a few of the major attractions of St. Francis. The Port If you can stay in the Port of St. Francis, you won’t be disappointed. The Port forms the backbone of St. Francis industry with its fishing and charter boats coming in and out of the harbor. Sadly, it is the foreign markets like Japan that benefit mostly from the catch as the quality of the Chokka (squid) caught in the nearby waters is regarded as very high. You will find some really good restaurants overlooking the port allowing you to pass the time by watching the activity of a working harbor below. We love Balobi Seafood Market & Deli for snappy service quality fish and a good cup of coffee. Airbnb lists a few accommodation options in the port. This place is picturesque. Cape St. Francis Continuing south past the port is beautiful Cape St. Francis. It has the lighthouse and countless surfing spots. If by countless you mean 2. Seal Point and Cape St. Francis Beach. World class surf spots they are though.
