St. Francis – A Surfers Destination
Made famous by the “Endless Summer”
films St. Francis is on most surfer’s bucket
lists. Here are a few reasons why.
Bruce’s Beauties
A typical East swell running into St. Francis
brings its flagship right hand point break to
life. Bruce’s Beauties is a legendary wave.
By means of housing developments in the
sand dunes the wave has deteriorated in
quality, but is still a classic barrel.
Cape St. Francis
The shore of Cape St. Francis hosts an
idyllic beach that usually has waves. Of all
the seasons, winter and spring offer the
best conditions. The swell pouring out of
the East is best for this spot. It’s difficult to
find the exact right position to sit in as the
sandbanks shift often so watch for a while
before paddling out.
