TOP CORN DRILL FILLERS AT MIDLANDS MACHINERY SHOW

LINCOLNSHIRE engineers and manufacturing company E Skinns LTD will be present at the Midlands Machinery Show in November and discussing their new Skinns Rapid Drill Filler.

Their latest item will quicken up the process of corn drill filling, whilst making the whole process safer and more accurate.

The filler uses high capacity augers to carry the seed corn to the top mounted auger which swings outwards to fill drills brought alongside.

The Skinns Drill Filler has a roll over sheet to keep the grain dry and two cleaning inspection ports.

The established company which has been at the forefront of advances in agricultural engineering is delighted to be showcasing their work at the Midlands Machinery Show next month.

Works foreman at E Skinns Ltd Tony Bradley said: “We are delighted to be at the Midlands Machinery Show for the first time as an exhibitor, having visited before.

“Like other exhibitors, we are excited for the opportunity to showcase our products through leaflets and meeting potential new and old customers and we hope this will lead to sales.

“There are other products similar to the Skinns Rapid Drill Filler, but none work quite like this innovative design.

“The whole operation is speedy and clean with a sharp cut off. The equipment also eliminates the use of bags of seed corn and the waste in terms of bags used, which has to be cut open making in a safer operation and reducing the amount of labour used.

“Having spoken to customers and gaining feedback, they wanted the product to be a demountable idea, utilising the chassis for either a water bowser or a general trailer.

“Farmers also need the equipment to be able to reach the drill from either the back or the side.

“If using one tonne bags the operator has to cut open the bag open which can lead to a potential safety hazard. This new product does not have this issue and is far more controllable.”

George Taylor, show manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome E Skinns Ltd to the Midlands Machinery Show. We are sure visitors will be hugely interested in this innovative piece of machinery.

“I’m sure by showcasing their products at the Showground they will meet plenty of key personality throughout the agricultural industry.”

The Skinns Rapid Drill Filler will be featured on building JCH2 stand No 5 at the Midlands Machinery Show at Newark Showground on 25 and 26 November.

Visitors to the Midlands Machinery Show will be able to choose from a programme of technical seminars which will see industry experts discuss relevant issues.
